Mr Hughes was born into a very musical family. His father was the guitar playing front man in the 4 piece grunge band Contact. It was growing up submerged in this rock culture that Zane found his appreciation for everything loud. The foundation of Hughes's sound was formed during early childhood with endless car-ride karaoke’s, spontaneous living room jams, and whatever his cooler older brothers were blaring through the bedroom speakers. It was from this that Classic Rock and Punk outfits such as The Living End, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, etc. quickly established themselves as top picks on Zane's long list of influences. The Hughes household was never a quiet one, whether it be the loud smashing of drums or practicing guitar midily-midily’s, sound and music have always played a part in daily living.
